Adding another dog : hoe does your dog react?

In some cases having another dog in the family can lead to real wars. Did your dog cope with the arrival of a new dog well? or?

Our dogs have been pretty good about strange dogs in house til one tries being alpha then all H@LL breaks loose..We also put new dogs in kennel keep others in let them get smell of dogs here then slowly introduce with us right there..

My dogs are so used to other dogs coming and going for training that they don't really care anymore. It's pretty common here, so no big deal.

Out in public my dogs are more vocal with other dogs and when people walk em by the house as we do not let em run either leashed or in kennel/deck /house

We recently added a new dog to household (Sally), and our dog Shelby was "surprisingly" very welcoming. I wish I could say the same about the cats Wink

We've had friends/relatives bring their dogs over and Mauser seems to do alright with them. As long as they don't stay overnight it hasn't been a problem.

I hope that all of you had a great Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends.

Surprised
