Clothes for Pets

Have you ever put clothes on your pets?

Whenever Mauser gets his hair trimmed, he always comes home with a decorative banddana around his neck. He gets upset with us if we try to take it off.

I've seen other owners dress their pets up with pet coats, etc. for cold weather. Have you ever done something like this? We tried it once w/Mauser but he didn't like it. We thought about getting some paw mitts for his feet when he goes out into the snow or ice but we don't think they would stay on for very long. It's starting to get into colder weather for us. It's suppose to be down to 34 degrees tonight and just be in the 50's during the weekdays.

I do not dress up my hounds but booties for dogs they have many kinds..I just seen some that are light and use velcro fasteners..Some hunters here use the leather booties for pad protection in snow that tie like a human boot.

Juni has 3 coats for cold weather: 2 of them have been knitted, one is for a cold weather and the other has double threads and is for freezing cold. We have -20 degrees Celsius in Romania in winter so he's properly dressed Very Happy And we also have one for rain (made out of an old rain coat) so that he won't get that wet

I've tried to make mine wear coats in the winter but they really hate it so I don't push the issue. They're long coated dogs so I figure they'll be fine without them. I do long for a small dog one day that I can buy clothes for!

RE: Clothes for Pets

My grandmother made a coat for Puky, but she didn't like it. So now she doesn't wear anything anymore.

Nope and never will. I think it's tacky. All he needs is his collar.
