Well, I want a full breed Canadian Newfoundland. We are looking at AKC breeders right now. We currently have a Lhasa Poo, but he is no longer fun. He just hangs about my husband and lays around all day until my husband takes him out to the park and they play alone. Blah! I love my Lhasa, but we need young blood around the house.

I've read that Newfoundland dogs are the most faithful and gentle dogs in the world. They're good companions and protectors of families. They're sweet and have a kind disposition, even-tempered and devoted to their masters and their families. I hope that you have a large yard because these breeds of dogs need alot of exercise. Send us a picture when you find yours.

Yep, we live out in the middle of no where now. Our nearest neighborh is about a quarter of a mile away. Plenty of room. My husband really wanted to get us two Great Danes because they can protect our land/house, but I don't know how they will do with a Newfoundland.

All I know about Great Danes is that they crave their owners attention and love children. They need plenty of room to run and they can be hard to train unless you're husband is experienced in training dogs. They have high spirits and keen perception. They're big eaters, extremely fast and intelligent. Smile
