I just started to call her by her name, and when she came, i gave her a treat (if i had with me) or just pet her. she learned preety fast...

if outside and they escaped impossible in house just by name and if they ignore that say treats and get ready to be run over.

We would call Mauser by name and he would come to us. Sometimes he would come with a ball in his mouth and want to play and it would be awhile before we could pet him. Sometimes he would come right away to Mike and I but he would tease my husband and take his time coming to him.

he was already used when we got him.
i guess he got used when my sister kept calling him and pet him when he responded to the name.
