Toungue  Santini (Santi)

He is the latest addition in our project list. I found Santini 1 week ago, second Easter day while at work. I looked in the yard in front of the radio building and saw a small doggie who barked at 2 bigger ones. As I usually do, I got to him and took some food with me.

When I got close I saw he has almost no skin left, he was covered with lice and scars from all the skin issues he had. Skinny and dirty .. and so scared. After some hours I also noticed someone burnt his "moustache" .. those long hairs near the mouth. Who in this world would do this? Shocked

We have a vet nearby so I though I can at least give him some medical attention and then let him lose again.

The vet made him a health certificate, the vaccines, internal and external parasite treatment. He also gave me some smelly liquid to use on his skin to get rid of the lice. The problem was I had to repeat the treatment every 4 days for some time and I couldn't let him on the streets till then.

So .. here I was ... with the dirty dog in my arms, walking home. My folks almost had a heart attack ... what should we do with the dog? We already have Junior and he's not pleased with any other dog company in the house.

I cleaned him with the solution and also gave him a small bath. While he slept I called aadryanaa, my friend, to ask her to keep the doggie in the terrase so that we don't have Juni kill him ... I purchased a leash for him and some small dog food.

Here is how Santini looked when we got him. Will keep you updated with new photos and situation Smile

Poor angel! I really hope he will get better very soon. I know ady can't keep him. I would take him but my dog doesn't like the presence of other dogs in the house either... i already asked a few people if they don't want him and they said they can't have dogs because of their parents or that they don't have time to take care of any pet.

I'm still trying to find him an owner... I will come to visit ady to see the puppy!

RE: Santini (Santi)

He's already feeling VERY well. He's very active and playful. We have some more fur than last week. I'll put some more recent pics with him as soon as I can. We went to the doctor today and he was very pleased of how the doggie looks. He still has some "bald" patches, but looks better. And we got some supplements for him so that we can make that fur grow faster and stronger. We're in talks with someone .. hope they'll accept him in few weeks. If not, we'll look for another master.

Here are two very recent pics with the boy. He's healthy now and very very beautiful. We hope we'll be able to get a good master for him, he does deserve it.

Updates: santi is now big (compared to what he looked like Very Happy) and he's in my neighbour's yard. The guy is an old man who had animals in his life and loves little doggie Smile

I can visit him as I wish and I can give him more food (the guy is an eater).
