Sox

This is Sox, she is a cross between an Alsatian (German Shephard) and a Collie.

She is inteligent and very loyal but also very needed, she is petrified by the slightest unfamiliar noise and hates being left alone.

Her favourite food is cheese and can somehow know the instant you remove it from the fridge, even without unwrapping it.

She was a rescue dog and we've had her since she was a puppy.

Part 1

KR Jasmine Northern Dreams a.k.a Jasmine

Whelped 11/22/03

Our first bloodhound a runt but very smart and eager to learn. She was flown to Wisconsin at 10 weeks of age.

Was started in training for SAR and was told training for pointed ear dogs so start all over. She is small at only 70 pounds but very motivated. This one was out of show stock.

This dog is also in the schools helping spread the word on bloodhounds and SAR work. People are very surprised at how well behaved these dogs are around children. This dog is AKC registered.

KR Quiet Storm of Rib Mountain a.k.a Stormy

Whelped 1/09/2006

Our second bloodhound we bought for SAR work and also to be our stud dog. Stormy came to us at 7 weeks of age. We had so many problems trying to find a breeder for our first so went this route. This one was out of SAR stock with a good record and a very knowledgeable breeder who has helped very much with helping us train right and many more stories to tell. I feel very privileged to met the man who has this line. Many things to be learned from this gentleman and hope can gain some of his knowledge and live up to his expectations. Stormy is in training also and growing at a very fast rate. This dog is AKC registered.

KR Rolling Thunder a.k.a Thunder

Whelped unknown possibly 2004

This bloodhound was found in a kill shelter around Atlanta ,Georgia by Operations Bring Animals Home, who we helped foster animals after Katrina for. Told them if seen a bloodhound grab it for me.

April 18th 2006 they called as I was taking a son to a cub scout meeting and said sent pictures look do you want him? He had 50 minutes before scheduled to be put down as a stray. So they called my wife at work she looked at picture said looks like a bloodhound so she said send him up. He was heartworm negative but awful thin and scarred up. He has a BB in his head behind right eye and with the scars he has been through hell.

He is slowly gaining weight, vet said approximate age is 2 and purebred as was born without 3 teeth. Not as good as breeding by looks of him as the others, but he has been fixed and has started training for SAR also. I have a feeling all he has been through he will want to please well. He is always looking for attention and praise and hoping will be a great asset to the team.

Part 2

Norma our old Golden retriever Age approxiamtely 10, Was rescued from a shelter here where I live. When I first got her if you put hand up to go pet her she dropped to the floor and shook.I grabbed shovel one time about 2 weeks after too her in and she split for 2 days. She was way underweight and skiddish.
Had her a year people who dropped her in kennel wanted to buy her back and offered $200.00 told shelter thought was abused and told em why they got black listed from owning pets in the State of Wisconsin. She is getting old has a hip problem and getting a film over eyes like may be going blind. She has lumps on sides that could be fatty deposits, cyst or tumors but she will live here and die with us..Unsure if will be natural or have to be put down and dread day have to make that decision..Unless in pain will not do that.

Rottie a rottweiller/springer spaniel mix is a Katrina victim who is a great dog but looking to find him a new home as he loves to kill kittens and cats.He is approxiametly 1 1/2 years old very loving and active..He is scared of car traffic on road when walked but some things he must have seen after Katrina will have scarred him for life mentally..People driving by shooting animals and such.He will be a good dog for a family or even older parents with no kids..Usually quiet but if someone strange around will tell us..He was brought to us heartworm tested, infested and got treatment and doing great now.If was not for killing cats he would be in his forever home with us.
