Car Chasing

Have you ever had any problems with your dog/dogs chasing cars? I've seen dogs going after cars and have had it happened to us once in awhile. We're always afraid to hitting them and try to drive carefully when this happens.

We've never had this problem with Mauser because he's always on a leash or in a fenced in yard when outside.

From the dog's point of view, the moving car may be a challenge of some kind. Perhaps, the dog wants to try out his/her speed against the car's or the sound of the engine excites him/her.

If you've had this problem before, what type of situations did you try and did they work?

I saw so many dogs chasing cars and i realised that there's indeed something making them do this Very Happy

Juni is afraid of cars and I am glad we kinda insisted on the fact that cars are bad and he should watch out. He was hit by a car though .. ran after my dad and didn't watch for a car. He had a broken bone in one of his legs, but it healed fast. You can imagine he's horrified of cars now and there's no chance in the world he'd chase them Mr. Green

I have not had that problem. You only have to worry about the dog catching the car just once. Mr. Green
