What age should I spay my dog at?

Best is before 6 months of age and depends on vet may be earlier. Smaller weight cheaper and younger dogs heal faster, and if able find a vet that uses laser alot less bleeding and risk of infection.
I see some shelters now are doing at 8 weeks if over 2 pounds seem s to young to me.
