I do not use these but if would think a nutritional problem would talk to my vet and go off her advice. I know alot that use the all natural herbs and things for there animals.

My Romeo has kyphosis and CHD (Canine Hip Dysplasia) so I started him on Cosequin at 'round 10 months old. It's a combination of glucosamine and chondroitin especially designed for dogs. It has helped him a lot!
