Sit and Stare

Does your dog sit & stare off in space sometimes?

Mauser will be laying down for awhile and then sit up suddenly and stare off into space. We don't know if there is anything wrong with him. We talk to him and he'll turn his head and look at us and then go back to staring. Then he'll lay back down again.
Does your dogs do this also?

Not that I have seen but maybe it is the air changes he is feeling like when storms come and barometer goes nuts.Or maybe you have a ghost in the house talking to him.

Yes, one of my Collies will do this anytime he has to go outside. It's his signal to me that he must go, I just wish he'd be a bit more obvious about it. I know he's probably sat staring off into space for a long time waiting for me to notice him sometimes! lol

RE: Sit and Stare

When Mauser has to go outside, he just jumps up on us and uses his paw to get our attention. Sometimes he starts walking in front of us and then turns around to make sure that we're still following him. If we ask him if he has to go outside, then he goes nuts and barks. Then when we put on his harness, he runs to the door.

RE: Sit and Stare

Don't know .. maybe there is something scaring him .. or maybe this is his way of "resting" his brains ... don't know Smile

Juni doesn't do this .. he's alway looking at something or someone he can "abuse" Very Happy
